I wish it was that easy, and sometimes it is, but ya know, Women are from Venus and Men are from Mars
when it comes to getting her on-board.
If you were to take her out on a sailing dingy for the first time in 20 knots of wind chances are that will be the only time she ever goes.
I have had the privilege of introducing sailing to many women over the years and what I have observed is that women are more cautious and concerned with safety and the ability of the Captain.
So first take her to a few sail boat shows and get inside some newer beautiful boats. She will love these new floating palaces on the water.
Then both of you go and take some beginner courses with ASA American Sailing Association. Now you are a team with the same goal in mind.
Her confidence in you and herself takes over and you start creating a life changing adventure. With the completion of a few classes you are on your way to Bare Boating any where in world with your ASA Log Book in hand. And the best part is you’re in those floating palaces she saw at the boat show.
Now invite a few friends to go and you’re having the most awesome experience.
I always say:
“Don’t Dream your Life Live Your Dream that’s what got me here and I truly hope it does for you.”
